To celebrate their 50th anniversary, Ampeg are releasing the Heritage 50th Anniversary SVT, which launched at the 2019 Summer NAMM Show last week. According to the producer’s description, the unit combines ‘the 1969 “Blue Line” and mid-1970s Magnavox-era circuits in one amp’, and at the same time features ‘must-have modern technology ‘.

The amp is handmade in the U.S.A. from durable top-shelf components, and it is not a reissue. It utilizes detailed, period-correct graphics and font, as well as such modern features as: a newly enhanced XLR DI output, user biasing, speakOn® outputs, spring-loaded side handles, and specially sourced and matched Ampeg Super ValveTM 6550 tubes.
