> Leo Fender’s 110th birthday

Today marks what would have been Leo Fender‘s 110th birthday. Clarence Leonidas Fender was a piano and saxophone player, not a guitarist. Rumour has it he did not know how to tune a guitar, let alone play a single note using one. Nonetheless, he is one of the most important figures in the world of electric guitar and bass.

To celebrate the birthday of a guitar and bass guitar building genius (who did not have a degree in electric engineering), we recommend you get acquainted with some of the most important facts from his life, all of which can be found on the Fender website. Worth knowing!

We also recommend watching a short documentary on Fender instruments.
