> New C-series bass combos from Acoustic amplification

B300C and B600C are new D class bass combo models from the legendary Acoustic Amplification – a company which has been present in the market for more than 50 years. The legend of Jaco Pastorius (the bass player that helped the company at its early stage) lives on. The list of artists who played this manufacturer’s bass amplifiers in the 1970s and 1980s includes the likes of: Larry Graham (Sly and the Family Stone), Robbie Krieger (The Doors), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), John McVie (Fleetwood Mac).

A few days ago, Acoustic Amplification proudly announced that they have two new bass combos: the larger B600C (with 2×10″ speakers and 600W power) as well as the smaller B300C (with a single 15″ speaker and 300W power).

“The Acoustic C-Series Combos deliver vintage inspired style, uncompromising tone and modern features for bass players looking to practice around the home, jam with friends or play out.”

These bass combos are identical, except for a 6-point EQ in the B600C and a 5-point EQ in the B300C. Also, the “big brother” features a separate and precise tone shaping option through “Hi” and “Low” EQ controls. Another interesting feature in these combos is the blendable overdrive circuit that allows the player to mix clean and overdriven signals. The aim was to achieve maximum flexibility of tonal options. Have the company reached it? We’ll have to wait and see…

If you’re looking for a bass combo of high quality, with significant power resistance, versatile, from a manufacturer that knows what it’s doing, this just may be your choice! Jaco played on this stuff, too ;).

BASS RULEZ!
